It is already integrated into education, government, medicine and business. It is no longer discussed. The focus is on how to use AI better, faster and more meaningfully in a specific industry, process or decision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NUS \u201cAI for Business\u201d program brought together 25 representatives of Latvian companies for a week in an environment where AI adoption is not a strategic choice, but an operational self-evident fact. This difference between \u201ctalking\u201d and \u201cdoing\u201d is practically measurable.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThere is a great distance between considering and doing. And this distance is not reduced by discussions, it is reduced by practice.\u201d <\/span>Katrina Bartkevi\u010da, SISTERING<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What Latvian companies can learn from Singapore&#039;s experience<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The pace of AI adaptation is determined by action.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Companies that are already using AI in specific processes gain an advantage over those that wait for a complete strategy and only then begin implementation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The main question is not \u201cwhether to use it\u201d, but \u201cwhere exactly does it have a measurable effect\u201d.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Singapore&#039;s approach to AI is pragmatic and based on measurable benefits.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Employee skill development is part of the infrastructure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, not a separate project. Six weeks of online preparation, one week in person at Berkeley. The content includes lectures, generative AI applications, simulation games, real-world case studies, and work with 40+ fellow students from around the world: founders, CEOs, engineers, and product managers.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe \u201dJob to be Done\u201c approach is a strategic framework that focuses not on the product itself, but on the progress and change the client wants to achieve in their business. By understanding the client\u2019s true \u201dtask\u201d, we stop offering just aesthetics and instead provide strategic authority that ensures business value recognition in the digital age.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marta Vorkale, SISTERING<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This approach to product development is known as \u201cjobs to be done\u201d: the customer doesn\u2019t buy a product, they buy the outcome the product helps achieve. In Berkeley, it manifests itself as building a product based on customer need, not on the capabilities of the technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Latvian companies, this combination is practically applicable on two levels:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>At the operational level<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 An AI strategy that remains in presentations does not bring results. It must be translated into concrete processes where AI saves time or improves quality this week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>At the strategic level<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Product development that starts with technology rather than customer work often ends up with a good solution that no one buys. The priority is the issue the customer is truly trying to solve.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About project support<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SISTERING has received support for improving the digital skills of its employees <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitallatvia.lv\/sakums\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Latvian Digital Accelerator<\/a> implemented within the framework of the project \u201cDevelopment of digital skills for the development of new products and technologies in Latvian merchants\u201d (Agreement No. 2.3.1.2.i.0\/1\/24\/I\/CFLA\/002).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project strengthens the ability of companies to use digital technologies in business processes, develop digital management, automation, robotization and innovation, as well as promote export development and sustainable entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The article was prepared by: Mg.sc.comm.
